Mos Def Stars In Terrifying Video Where He Is Force Fed According To Guantánamo Bay Procedure

Yasiin Bey (formerly known as Mos Def) underwent surgical force feeding to show what happens to those who choose to hunger strike at Guantánamo Bay.

Yasiin Bey (formerly Mos Def) teamed up with Human Rights organisation Reprieve, Bafta award-winning director Asif Kapadia, and The Guardian to show what happens to prisoners who choose to go on a hunger strike while at Guantánamo Bay.

There are reportedly over a hundred hunger-striking prisoners at Guantánamo Bay currently, with the month-long fast of Ramadan starting Monday.

Forty of those prisoners are being force fed according to the method seen above.

The procedure that Yasiin Bey's medical staff put him through is based off leaked documents obtained by Al Jazeera in May.
