Fox News Got Confused And Said The UK Was Leaving The UN, Not The EU

Yep, those are two very different things.

ICYMI, there's a lot happening here in Europe. In a nationwide referendum on Thursday, Britain voted to leave the European Union, ending its 40 years of membership.

Not only that, but David Cameron said he will resign as prime minister by October following Britain’s decision to support Brexit.

So just a quiet day in Britain today, then.

The result has prompted a mixed reaction from world leaders and the media. Over in the US, Fox News had an ~interesting~ take.

That's right, look closer.

On Friday morning, the channel reported the UK was going to be leaving the UN, not the EU.

The report confused a lot of people. Did British people miss something? What did the UN have to do with this? Where was Ban Ki-moon?

Yes, the EU and the UN are two very different things, but Fox News mixed them up.
