Paul Campaign Attacks TSA

Adds it to the list of government agencies to abolish. Rand, meanwhile, is no longer being held in Nashville.

The Ron Paul campaign has released a statement proposing the abolishment of the TSA after Sen. Rand Paul was detained today at the Nashville airport for refusing a pat-down.

"The police state in this country is growing out of control," reads the release. "One of the ultimate embodiments of this is the TSA that gropes and grabs our children, our seniors, and our loved ones and neighbors with disabilities. The TSA does all of this while doing nothing to keep us safe."

"That is why my 'Plan to Restore America,' in additional to cutting $1 trillion dollars in federal spending in one year, eliminates the TSA."

Rand Paul is no longer being held at the airport, according to the staffer who answered the phone at his Senate office.
