The New York Post’s cover today goes after the Democratic state lawmakers who wore hoodies in solidarity with Trayvon Martin at a news conference yesterday, calling them “race hustlers.”
The Post’s cover is a mark of a backlash against almost universally sympathetic coverage of the slain team. It’s also a rather broad charge: By the Post’s logic, this means that the other hoodie-wearing famous people like Clay Aiken, Jennifer Granholm, and the entire Miami Heat are also “race hustlers.”
