Everyone's Ripping It Out Of Jeremy Corbyn Because He Said The "Real Fight Starts Now" Over Brexit

"First rule of Real Fight Starts Now Club is turn up nine months late."

On Wednesday MPs voted to allow Theresa May's government to trigger Article 50, and start Brexit.

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn looked like he was (again) facing a frontbench rebellion after ordering his MPs to obey a three-line whip and vote with the government. In the end, 52 Labour MPs rebelled against Corbyn’s orders to vote for Article 50, and shadow cabinet member Clive Lewis resigned over it.

Following the vote, Corbyn tweeted: "Real fight starts now."

Real fight starts now. Over next two years Labour will use every opportunity to ensure Brexit protects jobs, living standards & the economy.

Which puzzled some people who thought he could have done a bit more earlier in proceedings.

This is not a fair comparison to make, obviously.

This is going to be a good fight.
