My work explores the relationship between multiculturalism and recycling culture. With influences as diverse as Derrida and Joni Mitchell, new synergies are crafted from both constructed and discovered textures. Ever since I was a postgraduate I have been fascinated by the ephemeral nature of meaning. What starts out as triumph soon becomes debased into a manifesto of power, leaving only a sense of decadence and the unlikelihood of a new reality. As subtle replicas become reconfigured through diligent and personal practice, the viewer is left with a tribute to the possibilities of our existence.
