Watch This College Basketball Player With Inoperable Brain Cancer Score The First Basket Of The Season

The NCAA basketball season doesn't start for another couple of weeks, but we already have an amazing story.

Lauren Hill, a college basketball player at Mount St. Joseph University, suffers from an inoperable brain cancer. For the first game of the NCAA basketball season, she scored the first basket against Hiram College.

The NCAA authorized the game to be played two weeks in advance of the normal start of the season because of her condition. According to ESPN, the doctors told the freshman from Division III Mount St. Joseph's that "she has only a few months to live."

The game was played in front of more than 10,000 people in Xavier University's Cintas Center.
