Dugongs Jumping Into Mud
Dugongs are also known as manatees. When dugongs forage for food, they plunge their face into the sediment at the bottom of the ocean. This eliminates their ability to see while looking for food. This is why when sharks are near by, dugongs will change their eating habits and just swim above the sediment looking for food this way they can also see the whereabouts of sharks and decrease the change of being preyed upon.
