We got two adventurous men to throw on mermaid suits and learn what it takes to be a mermaid (or, should we say "merman") for the day. Doubts were expressed early on, but these men channeled their inner Ariels and slayed the imaginary sea.
But Matt was thinking he may have a few issues being constrained and trying to swim.
But no fear guys, you're in good hands! Meet Merman Jax. He's a professional merman, and he's going to teach Matt and Mike a thing or two about the "sea" aka a cold-ass pool.
First things first, a merman is not a merman without the proper accoutrement. They must have jewels, duh.
And don't forget the proper amount of flash tattoos.
After a few accessories, the guys were really starting to FEEL. THEMSELVES. Mike mentioned he had wanted to be a mermaid ever since he saw Bette Midler perform as a mermaid in Delores de Lago.
So why waste any more time? The guys got suited up:

After further instruction...
...it was time to see if these men were up to par:
And they proved to be pretty fucking awesome!

After becoming mermen, the guys were just happy they didn't die.
