“Looking” is NOT the first ‘honest’ show about the gay experience. Hate when writers have to discredit everything that came before in order to justify thesis. Did he even watch “Queer as Folk” both British and American? Was he too young for “Six Feet Under” and it’s depiction of a long running inter-racial Gay relationship? Has web series like “It Could Be Worse” or the aforementioned “The Out” passed under Mr Peitzman’s radar? Also since writer keeps saying how this is part of the LGBT community I was wondering if there are a lot of Lesbians, Bi’s, and Transgendered stories also being told? (What, no Q’s? Those questioning should start a campaign.)
Response to 26 Signs You Grew Up In NYC In The ’90s:
Graffiti trains were morea1970s thru ‘80’s’ thing. And really Virgin Records in Times Square? Tower Records on lower Broadway was the cool place to shop. Also, it was the last time you could go to Thanksgiving Day, Halloween, Gay Pride etc., parade without the endless police barricades barring you from streets.
