Twitter Users Simultaneously Post “Thumbs Up” Pictures In Memory Of Stephen Sutton


1. Thousands of people have posted pictures of themselves on Twitter giving a “thumbs up” sign in memory of cancer fundraiser Stephen Sutton.

2. The 19-year-old died on May 14 after losing his battle with cancer.

3. The teenager from Burntwood, Staffordshire, inspired people to donate over £4 million to the Teenage Cancer Trust.

4. A two-day vigil is currently being held at Lichfield Cathedral for people who want to pay their respects to the inspirational teenager.

5. His mother Jane asked people to join a “Thumbs Up For Stephen” thunderclap on Twitter at 11am on Friday, inspired by one of his last Facebook posts.

6. And at 11am, thousands of people uploaded pictures of themselves giving a “thumbs up”.
