Thousands Of Runners Get Covered In Colourful Powder During London Color Run

    So much colour.

The 2014 Color Run took place around Wembley Park on Sunday.

The event saw thousands of runners race 5km around the national stadium.

As they ran, volunteers threw colourful powder at the runners.

The race is billed as the "happiest 5k on the planet".

The London race was the first of six "Color Runs" taking place in the UK this summer.

The races are also being staged in: Manchester, Sunderland, Birmingham, Belfast and Brighton.

The race has three main "rules": 1. All participants are welcome; 2. A white shirt dress code and 3. "Completely coloured Willy Wonka goodness".

Save the Children acted as the official charity partner for the 2014 race.

The next Color Run will take place in Manchester on July 5.
