The animal got stuck in a kids clothing store for four hours.

A wild boar caused quite a commotion when it crashed through the ceiling of shopping centre in Hong Kong at the weekend.

The animal apparently climbed up a ladder at the Chai Wan mall before falling through a false ceiling above a kids clothes shop, the BBC reported.

Video footage of the incident shows the animal falling on to a display and then making its way around the store.

The 25kg animal proceeded to engage the police and animal control officers in a four-hand standoff, the South China Morning Post reported.

"It just came in out of nowhere, and turned around at the show window," the shop’s manager, who was not named, told the newspaper.

The female boar was eventually tranquilised by a vet and taken to a rehabilitation centre.
