I am trans, and this is nothing. People use “bud” and “dude” and “guys” all the time as gender neutral terms of address. I use them all the time as gender neutral. Jimmy Fallon isn’t dogging Hunter Schafer for being trans, he calls people “bud.” It’s fine.
