    Miley Cyrus' Song "Party In The U.S.A." Paid Jessie J's Rent For Over 3 Years

    ~Cashing those checks like "Yeah!"~

    Before she was bang, banging into rooms with Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj, Jessie J took her first step toward conquering American airwaves with Miley Cyrus.

    She co-wrote Miley's breakout single "Party In The U.S.A." back in 2009 and earned her first hit — the song spent 28 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100.

    In fact, "Party In The U.S.A." did so well that Jessie could have had a successful career without ever singing a note. In a recent interview with Glamour UK (via ET Online), she said royalties from the song paid her rent for over three years.

    "You've got to write songs, that’s where the money is, being an artist," Jessie said. "'Party In The USA' paid my rent for, like, three years. Actually it was way longer than that."

    Pop stardom is overrated.
