12. You and your thesis have watched the sunrise together.
13. And you're nervous about introducing it to your parents.
14. Your thesis has made the rest of your life – everything that came before it, and everything that will come after – feel totally irrelevant.
15. You constantly cancel social obligations to spend time with your thesis instead.
16. Whenever they see you, your friends ask about it before they even ask about you.
17. Which is fine because it's the only thing you remember how to talk about.
18. In the process of getting to know your thesis, you've learned a ton about yourself.
19. Eventually, you find it so beautiful that you can't stop staring at it.
20. You want to take it with you everywhere you go.
21. When the relationship is over, you feel empty. You don't know what to do with yourself, or all your free time.
