I used to go visit this family down the road to play with the kids. If they got hungry, they would grab handfuls from the tin of dry cat food that they always kept in the playroom. They did not own a cat.
We wear our socks, bare feet or slippers. And yes it is absolutely possible to keep your floors clean enough to walk in… because literally nobody wears their outdoor shoes in.
And don’t you wash your socks every day anyway?
