Response to Tell Us About Your Favorite Road Trip Game:
My favorite game as a kid was Clue so I came up with a way to play it in the car. One person serves as the Confidential Envelope and picks the suspect, weapon, and room. The other players then make guesses and the Confidential Envelope player responds by saying the number of answers the player got right, just how many, not which answers were right. So the players have to remember what everyone’s guessed and figure it out through process of elimination. When someone finally guesses all three right, they win and become the Confidential Envelope. Of course everyone has to be familiar with the game and what all the suspects, weapons, and rooms are in order to play, or have a list handy. Example- Confidential Envelope player ‘holds’ Miss Scarlet in the Ballroom with the Revolver. Someone guesses Colonel Mustard in the Ballroom with the Wrench, the Confidential Envelope player responds “One”. The next player might guess Colonel Mustard in the Hall with the Knife and the Confidential Envelope player responds “Zero”, so the players know it isn’t Colonel Mustard, but the one right answer could be either the Ballroom or Wrench.
