Do They Celebrate Christmas In The Philippines?

Filipinos always look forward to Christmas and it’s one of the happiest times in the Filipino culture. This is the time when families get together especially those who are overseas. Another Filipino tradition is when one comes home for Christmas and become “Balikbayan” or homecoming. Filipinos who do come home usually bring lots of gifts for their families and close friends back home which is called “pasalubong”. These gifts may seem ordinary to a lot, but to Filipinos, they’re the very thought of love. Items such as canned goods, dvd players, clothing, perfume, cosmetics are some of the usual items brought home in pasalubongs.
