Seismic activity at Alaska's Mount Redoubt, located in the Southeastern part of the State has increased significantly according to the Alaska Volcano Observatory. The 10,197-foot peak is located about 100 miles southwest of Anchorage, Alaska's most populous city. The volcano last erupted in December, 1989.
