2014 just jumped in the running for the best year ever, and here is why:
According to Restaurant News (find the full article here: http://nrn.com/technology/taco-bell-offer-mobile-ordering-nationwide), the widely successful franchise is now offering mobile ordering and well, we just cannot be happier.
They ran a test out in California and have found that this is definitely something people nationwide would be interested in.
Clear out your memory and get ready to download your new favorite app! As I'm sure you are aware, Chipotle has a similar service and it makes life just so much easier. No more waiting in line, no more hoping you have enough singles to pay, no more hassle. You just order and pay online, walk to the counter (this is especially exciting if the line is ridiculous), and walk out food in hand.
There is one unanswered downside: how late will this work on late night?
It is no surprise that a large portion of Taco Bell's clientele consists of those looking for a late night drive thru meal. Will this service still be an option at that point? Chipotle does not have a drive thru and closes at a regular time so this question never had to be asked.
Either way, let's not dwell on the possible kinks. I am sure they will be answered by smarter people. And besides, for a probably free app, what's the harm?
In the mean time let us bask in knowing that the future is here... and it is delicious. Live Mas indeed.
