raptorpug commented on Which Series Should Be Required Viewing For Every Anime Fan?

My husband would refuse to even try Anime. Until someone else told him to watch Castlevania. OF COURSE when someone else tells him to watch it, he does, and enjoys it, so now I am going to show him Neon Genesis Evangelion and Attack on Titan, which are probably my favorite. I'd say…

raptorpug commented on What's The Best Thing You Bought During Pregnancy?

I'm 32 weeks pregnant right now, and along with the snoogle pillow mentioned already (which has been immensely helpful) I would nominate the "belly band" (Thyme Maternity sells them as well as other shops). It's a tube-shaped piece of fabric you wear under your shirt but over the…

raptorpug commented on Have You Ever Lost Your Wedding Ring?

My husband lost his first ring at the cottage when he jumped off the dock into the water. The second time he lost his ring was when we were boating (on a different lake). Now he doesn't wear one because why bother if he's in truth married to the sea?

raptorpug commented on Tell Us The Weirdest Things You Eat When No One Is Around

When I'm baking and the recipe calls for the step to cream together butter and sugar, I ALWAYS not only make a little extra (maybe a couple teaspons) to eat on its own, but I save a blob of the batter after each new ingredient is added to eat at the end.

raptorpug commented on 39 Non-Disney Animated Movies You'll Definitely Want To Watch

I disagree about The Last Unicorn being better as a movie than a book. The novel is 100x more complex and even darker than the movie. The movie really makes the Unicorn a victim of her circumstances, where in the book she has a lot more agency. Seriously, if you haven't read the book,…

raptorpug commented on 19 WTF Things You Won't Believe Kids Actually Did

This is why I love kids ages 3-6. They do such crazy shit. People make such a big fuss over babies and wanting to hold them, but I'd be fine just watching a bunch of 4 year olds play because they are a riot.

raptorpug commented on 19 Annoying Disney Plot Holes That Still Don't Make Any Fricking Sense

... because they're Disney movies. They were made when movies were intended for children, not us adults. As a kid I didn't care about this kind of continuity (hardly PLOT holes for most of these FYI). It's only now that movies are marketed towards both parents and children (and we…

raptorpug commented on 17 Fucking Infuriating Things That Happened In "Love Actually"

How come Kiera Knightley's character never told her husband that his supposed best friend has a weird stalker-y crush on her? If one of my husband's best friends revealed that he filmed close-up shots of me to jerk off to or whatever his excuse was, I would definitely tell him because…

raptorpug commented on Which "Titanic" Moments Always Infuriate You?

The whole movie is melodramatic drivel. I saw the musical a year or so back and it was way better, because it focused on love stories of people who had actually known each other for more than like two days, so there was a real sense of sorrow when one or both died. Rose and Jack's…
