A Few Things You Should Know About My Mom

She is one special Jersey girl!

Jean Lindsay was born and raised in New Jersey. She was a pretty girl. She was cool girl. And I'm pretty sure she taught her two brothers some things. She became a nurse. She had a nursing career that lasted almost four decades. How's that for superhero material? A mom and a nurse!

Anyway, she met my dad (she has pretty great taste in guys) and they got married. Here's where things get a little crazy. Jean and Ron decided to adopt a kid. They adopted a daughter named Susan and known as Sue. She had the cutest birthmark on her face. Not too long after that, they adopted a son. Then, believe it or not a few years after adopting their second child, they adopted TWINS!

I was fortunate enough to be one of those twins.

They have been great parents and raised some awesome people. Sue is a renowned teacher in a fantastic school district, she has a great husband and two fantastic kids (who are already taller than me). She devotes everything to her family and the kids she teaches. Their eldest son served honorably in the navy for years, One of their twins is committed to compassionate care.

The other twin is composing a BuzzFeed post about her awesome mom.

I gotta say, my parents are definitely both superheroes but you're going to have to wait until Father's Day to hear about my dad.
