Welcome to The Weird World of Extreme Ironing- an Extreme Sport/Performance Art. It Began in The Late 90's. In fact, The 1st Extreme Ironing World Championships Was in 2002! (I don't even do mild ironing...).

  According to Wikipedia- Extreme Ironing is an extreme sport/performance art in which people take an ironing board to a remote location and iron items of clothing.

  Ok- You might not think this counts as Extreme Ironing. But- it would if you dared to iron in my mom's presence. Because you WOULD do it wrong. Trust me. Then you would have to watch guiltily as she lectured you & re-ironed everything...including wash cloths, underwear & linens! (*This is not my mom- though I'm sure she's a lovely lady).
