    I’m 29 and just found out that my great grandfather killed himself. He died when I was in college, and I find it odd that no one felt like they could tell me. I always thought he died from COPD complications.

    My friend Anna wrote a song for me and my husband and performed it at our wedding. It was so beautiful. Her heart is so big. She made just about everyone at our wedding tear up. ?

    Don't get mortified; it's not worth it. Sometimes embarrassing or silly things happen. Enjoy the ridiculousness of it. Usually the other person wants to laugh about it WITH you because they think it's cute and they like you even more for it.

    I went to school for English and African-American studies and was working part-time at a small community college library after graduation. I also worked part-time at a bookstore to make ends meet. One day, I saw a technical writing position posted on LinkedIn by a company in my area…
