The Lip Bar is Black woman-owned. All of their products are vegan and cruelty-free — and they do so much more than just lipstick — check out all of their face and eye makeup as well!
Promising review: "I use The Lip Bar's matte liquid lipsticks often and the formula is truly incredible. It hardly budges at all throughout the day, the pigment is bomb, AND it doesn't dry out my lips at all — which is really difficult to find in a matte lipstick." —Kayla Boyd, BuzzFeed Staff

I was gifted this book at the end of 2019 (LOL), and now that I've *finally* been able to start using it, I'm totally in love. The illustrations are gorgeous, the hardcover book itself is sturdy and looks wonderful out on a table or on the shelf, and the pages even *feel* nice. It's a perfect gift for the loved one you always look forward to dining with.

Promising review: "My boyfriend has recently been on a hot sauce kick. I came across this and got it for him for our anniversary. I typically get him watches or video game stuff. He was beyond thrilled. Loved it, very excited to create his own, name it what he wants and share his creations with friends. The kit included everything you could need including gloves, which he probably wouldn't have thought to use if it hadn't included them." —megans

Promising review: "I am a candle FIEND! And I love astrology! This candle is just the best of both worlds. The label and fragrance are customized based on your birth date to match your "inner spirit." The company provides descriptions of your personality, your emblematic tarot card, ruling planet, and ruling number. Such a fun astrological reading in the cutest packaging! I honestly felt like I was getting read to filth but I loved how detailed it was. This candle burns so smoothly, too, and my particular scent of hydrangea, peony, and jasmine is just so me. I love the delicate floral scent as it's strong without being overbearing." —Skyler Murry, BuzzFeed Staff

The cold brew maker is BPA-free, has a non-slip handle, and produces four servings of the good stuff.
Promising review: "This is amazing! I bought this as a gift for my husband who drinks iced coffee all year long. He says it makes such a smooth tasting strong iced coffee. He gets two drinks out of each batch that he makes. It's easy to clean and can go in the dishwasher. Durable — I know as I'm clumsy and have dropped it several times without an issue. We are considering getting a second one!" —rnnichole

Promising review: "As a reader who’s built a sizable book collection, I was instantly drawn to this bookplate stamp. I loved the idea of making my copies really my own in this regal way. Much cooler than simply writing your name! It feels so official stamping every single book. Can you imagine? Decades later, when my descendants look through my home library and see all my books stamped like this, how splendid that would be? I’ll tell you: very." —Nusrat Sultana, BuzzFeed Staff

Pretty Honest Candles is a Black woman-owned business. Their candles are hand-poured in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Promising review: "As someone who both collects Jordan sneakers and burns candles daily, I couldn't think of a more perfect product. Pretty Honest Candles is a Black woman-owned business that sells handmade, slow-burning soy candles. The candles are made without harmful chemicals or additives and give you about 50 hours of burn time. I can't lie, I've only lit it once because I want it to last forever! But, if you're wondering, it definitely does not smell like shoes. It has a fresh scent of mandarin balm, tangelo, and eucalyptus. And once I finally decide to use it all, I will definitely be keeping the jar on display." —Kayla Boyd, BuzzFeed Staff

Promising review: "I LOVE this night-light. It's in my bathroom and is a lovely addition. It turns off the second the lights go on which is nice that I don't have to worry about accidentally leaving it on. Super cute and the little itty-bitty lighting element does a good job lighting, just enough so I don't have to turn the main lights on in the middle of the night." —1Thand

The kombucha kit includes a 1-gallon brewing jar featuring a place to write brew notes, pH test strips, a temperature gauge, a 16-page post-brewing guide, organic sugar, an organic tea blend, and a kombucha culture and liquid starter.
Promising review: "It has everything you need to start a first batch of kombucha. It includes clear instructions on how to make it and continue your kombucha for the second batch. Now I’m making my third batch and loving it so far. After the first batch, you will need to find your own tea leaves and sugar but it’s fun trying different tea to see how differently it tastes. It’s also fun trying different fruits/spices for second fermentation. If you purchase this kit as your first kombucha investment, you can brew your kombucha forever only with additional tea leaves and sugar." —Meg

I have this sunscreen and really like it! It's become my new daily sunscreen over their "Unseen Sunscreen" formula, which is better suited for using as a primer and I... simply don't wear makeup anymore! The formula is nice and thin and so far super effective.
Promising review: "Excellent sunscreen. I believe in this brand: vegan, cruelty-free, reef safe for starters. I have many products from this line. This is a thinner sunscreen for the face, not as creamy as a body lotion for example. Highly recommend." —WN

Promising review: "Purchased as a gift for my husband after the original Stanley Thermos I gave him 30 years ago finally bit the dust. He was thrilled with it - probably mostly because it was spanking new, shiny, larger, and heftier than the first. He hadn't used it until last week when we had a bad storm rip through and were without electricity for 48 hours. After the power had been out for a day we hooked up the generator and made a pot of coffee. Without doing any "pre-heating" I filled the thermos full and he was on his way with it. He told me when he opened the thermos the next day the coffee was still warm — not hot but certainly drinkable. It really is a big, pretty, sturdy thermos and I think the price was right." —Rebecca W

Love Corkscrew is a Black woman-owned business based in Chicago.
Promising review: "I love wine, but I love wine with a theme, and Love Corkscrew delivers both on exceptional taste and catchy names that make it a great option to jazz up the end of your week, gift to friends, or celebrate fun occasions with. I tried the 'Touch the Sky' Niagara, the 'Head Over Heels' Riesling, the 'Hard Knock Life' Concord, the 'We Go High' Rosé, and the 'We're Movin' On Up' Cabernet Sauvignon. I'm a red wine lady at heart, so I wasn't surprised that the latter was, of the five, my absolute favorite — rich and smooth and with a subtle, dark kind of sweetness. The most intriguing was the 'Hard Knock Life,' a super sweet red table wine that seems PRIME for drinking chilled on long nights hanging out with friends outside in the summer. I loved all of them, but also a shoutout to the 'Head Over Heels' Riesling, which had the perfect balance of crisp and sweet. I can't wait to enjoy these with friends!" —Emma Lord, BuzzFeed Staff
