This 12-Question Test Will Tell You Whether You’re Likely Autistic Or Not

Do you feel exhausted after social interaction a majority of the time? 

Would you consider yourself "intense"?

Do you dislike being in crowded spaces, around certain lights and noises, and/or being touched in certain ways? 

Have other people often commented on your dedication to and depth of your interests? 

Are your interests more creative/unconventional than most of your peers for example? 

Do you often find that you have high levels of anxiety on average?

Are you very intellectual and enjoy problem solving, puzzles and strategy games? 

Do you tend to be highly skilled in some areas, while having equal difficulty in other areas?

Do you tend to be very autonomous and a bit, "my way or the highway"?

Do you fidget or seek stimulation in ways that others may consider, "odd or weird"? 

Rate how true this is on a scale of 1-10: I feel as though I see social interaction quite differently than most people. 

As a young kid, I learned to walk and talk unusually early or unusually late?

Disclaimer: this is in no way a substitute for an official diagnosis. I’d recommend getting professionally assessed if these really resonate with you. 

However, it means that you have scored very highly on traits common among those who are Autistic. This isn’t a bad thing. Rather, it is a unique way of cognitive functioning and means you just perceive the world in a way that is different from most people, not less. While it may come with struggles, (I’m high functioning Autistic myself) it isn’t a deficit. There will be times when you feel so alone and like you just don’t fit in anywhere; but trust me: the Autistic neurotype has a great potential to offer this world.

This doesn’t mean it is certain you are not Autistic, but it does indicate that you do not possess many of the traits indicative of Autism, based on your responses to this quiz.
