When Apple announces the phone
When that one guy has it on the first day
When your friend says they're getting it
When more and more people have the new phone
And you see them lying around on people's desks
When suddenly you're the only one without the new iPhone
Someone offers to let you touch theirs
And then you do touch it
When you have to ask to touch someone's iPhone
And, when they look at you weirdly, you consider theft
When your friend/family member finally gets theirs
