Sununu Says Low Turnout Means Republicans Are Satisfied With Romney

Former Gov. John Sununu, Mitt Romney’s Top MSNBC surrogate — and really, the best surrogate around — batted back at claims by Democrats that low primary turnout is a sign of an unenthused Republican electorate.

Sununu also took on Newt Gingrich, who claims the low turnout equals a rejection of Romney.

“This is wishful thinking on the part of the Gingrich campaign ... He is absolutely down. His news conference [on Saturday] was an unbelievable rambling of a candidate who expresses the rationale of being unable to be president.”
