Response to The Ghost Of V.C. Andrews: The Life, Death, And Afterlife Of The Mysterious “Flowers In The Attic” Author:
If you read V.C. Andrews’ young adult novels during your pre-teen years this is worth the read. I loved her books and read more of them than I can count. I knew nothing about the life of V.C. Andrews before reading this story, and like many other young people reading her novels, wasn’t even aware that the most recent ones (I was reading them in the mid 90’s) were penned by a ghost writer after Andrews’ death. I remember reading “My Sweet Audrina” & “Heaven” each in one while night hiding under the covers with a flashlight not being able to put them down. I have such vivid memories of reading “Heaven”; crying at 3am after being exposed to a way of life that, up to that point, I never knew existed. Andrews’ novels were a huge part of my adolescence and I’m so glad I came across this article about her :)
I didn’t sit through the whole video (an hour is waaaay to long) but based on what I did see this was the first time Kanye has seemed endearing, humble, down to earth, real and (almost) likable. It’s too bad that the Kanye West in that video was replaced by a pompous, narcissistic @$$ with no sense of humor.
