Rory O'Malley will be Hamilton's new King George

It has been announced that Rory O'Malley will be taking over Jonathan Groff's role as King George III. Groff will be leaving to film a Netflix show, and O'Malley has been chosen to join the cast. O'Malley graduated from Carnegie Mellon University (where he became friends with Leslie Odom Jr. who plays Aaron Burr) and will be officially starting on April 11th. He was prviously nominated for a Tony Award for his portrayal of Elder McKinley in The Book of Mormon. He made his Broadway debut in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.
