Boy Submits Resume, Shoplifts

A teenager who applied for a job at a hobby shop in Santa Clarita wanted to sample some of his potential employer’s wares, so he helped himself to an airsoft gun on the way out. It wasn’t all that difficult to track him down, considering he provided the store with his resume, complete with home address and phone number. Asked by KTLA to explain what the hell he was thinking, the unidentified minor had only capricious youth to offer. “Honestly, I wasn’t planning on stealing anything,” he told 5 News’s Carolyn Costello . “I was actually trying to get a job. And… what can I say? I’m a teenager, that’s stupid. What time do you think the cops will be here so I can put on some shoes?”
