The shooting happened around 7pm, which is certainly not “the middle of the night”. You haven’t addressed what I said to you at all. People do not have to earn basic human rights. They are afforded to everyone. It sounds like you are nothing but a racist who thinks that people of color need to prove themselves in order to “earn” even the most basic human rights.
Laws that require parental consent/notification.
Laws that require waiting periods, sometimes of several days.
Laws that require invasive and unnecessary vaginal ultrasounds.
Laws that put unnecessarily strict requirements on clinics and doctors performing abortions, which ultimately causes them to close. People who want to strip women of their right to control their own bodies know that they can’t simply pass laws making it illegal, so they’ve focused on making abortions more difficult to obtain.
What they are talking about is the most basic level of respect and dignity that should be afforded to all people. A basic level of respect, such as being able to walk through a neighborhood without it being assumed that you are a criminal because the color of your skin does not match the color of the neighborhood. No one has to “earn” that sort of respect.
