Thomas Romain is a 41-year-old French designer and art director based in Tokyo, Japan.
Recently, he has been taking his son's drawings and creating some truly amazing characters out of them.
And the results are Miyazaki levels of pure imagination.
"I was surprised by my son's drawings. I thought they were creative and fun. As an illustrator I just wanted to draw them!," he told BuzzFeed. "It gave me a chance to draw on paper with watercolor again."
"The reception has been overwhelming. I started two years ago, and thanks to all the online support I found the energy and motivation to draw dozens of illustrations. We even released a book called "Family Traits, the Fantastic Bestiary of a Father and His Sons."
It typically takes around 10 hours for every piece from start to finish.
And it's totally worth it for us when you see the results of each character.
"I already have to work fast at work so on this project I take my time. Every piece is unique and hand-painted with watercolor. It requires a lot of patience."
