Chris Eubank has now appeared in an advert for a youth hostel company.
The former boxer was only recently informed of the Alan Partridge routine 18 years ago in which the fictional TV show idea Youth Hostelling With Chris Eubank was suggested.
And now there's this.
The original post is below:
On the left is Chris Eubank, the eccentric former champion boxer. On the right is eccentric fictional broadcaster Alan Partridge, as played by Steve Coogan.
The hapless presenter, having been told he won't get a second series of his talk show, then reels off increasingly daft TV show ideas to a BBC executive in the hope of getting a commission.
As well as Youth Hostelling With Chris Eubank, the shows included: Inner-City Sumo; the detective show A Partridge Amongst The Pigeon; Arm-Wrestling with Chas and Dave and the immortal Monkey Tennis, which is now shorthand for any ridiculous TV show format.
Since that episode was first aired, people have been comparing real TV ideas to Partridge's.
So author and researcher Carl Packman thought he'd ask the main man: Will the youth hostelling idea ever come true?
But Eubank has no idea what's going on.
No clue.
So he has no idea that the Youth Hostelling with Chris Eubank meme has spread far and wide.
