People Can't Get Enough Of This Burger Chain's Response To A Customer Weeing On Himself

There's customer service, and then there's this.

Gordie Wallace's trip to the Aberdeen branch of Handmade Burger Company was perfectly fine until he had to go the toilet.

He wrote on Facebook on Monday that the "unfortunate placing of the automatic hairdryer" right next to the toilet caused him to pee on himself, saying:

Hello, could I possibly share my traumatic experience at your Aberdeen branch in union square?

After enjoying a meal with the misses I took a trip to the little boys room to empty my rather full bladder due to the fantastic refill option you have on your menu.

Due to the poor design of your bathrooms and unfortunate placing of the automatic hand dryer, half way during my urination the hand dryer decided to go on full pelt thus blowing my pish stream all over the place, nearly all over my trousers and sadly leaving me with a soggy trainer on my left foot.

I'm now going to be forced to throw out my sodden sock, walk about with a pishy foot and now believe I have developed a phobia of hand dryers.

But, he added, "Food was ace tho 👌"

    This is the affected trainer.

And the company's response? An offer of a free pair of trainers and a pair of socks every month for a year.

The restaurant uploaded this picture with the Facebook comment, showing staff armed with an umbrella, a plunger, and a toolbox.

It's safe to say that a LOT of people were amused by this response – leading to Wallace's original response getting shared 3,700 times and having thousands of comments.

Some people thought they'd try their luck, too.

Wallace wrote last night that he's a bit bemused by the media coverage of the incident so far, and added that he's not, contrary to reports, scared to leave the house.

Maybe the sensible thing next time would be to follow this timeless advice.

Wallace told BuzzFeed News that the offer of trainers is a genuine one.

He said: "Yeah they are sending me Nike Air trainers and loads of socks I believe, crazy isn't it!

"The post has generated some interest in my business, Rejuven8 Repairs Aberdeen, too which is good. Handmade Burger have been ace about it all and I'll always go back. Great staff they have at union square!

"The post was really just to raise some laughs and I'm delighted that so many people have found it all to be funny, it's good to laugh."

A spokesperson for the company told BuzzFeed News:

"After Gordie posted details of his unfortunate incident on our Facebook page yesterday, we have been following the comments on his post.

"This morning we have replied to Gordie apologising for his experience and have offered to buy him a new pair of trainers and also a sock subscription for a year to compensate. You can find further details of our response on our Facebook page."
