Here we have two of Miami's finest fashionistas: Ha Truong and her 5-year-old daughter Olivia.

Ha was watching the Crazy Rich Asians trailer when she spotted the iconic blue Marchesa dress worn by the film's star Constance Wu.

"'Mom! Look! It's my dress! It's Constance Wu!'" — Olivia, 5.
FYI: Crazy Rich Asians (CRA) marks the first major studio film with an all-Asian and Asian American cast and leads in 25 years. As the Kansas-born daughter of Vietnamese refugees and the wife of a Thai immigrant, Ha told As/Is that CRA is proof that representation matters. "Movies like this show we [Asians] are part of the global fabric and our stories need to be shared, much like the stories of any underrepresented/misrepresented group," she said. "And it’s refreshing to see someone on the big screen my daughter and my son can relate to."
"My sewing skills don't go beyond eighth grade home economics, so I play everything by eye," she added. "It's [composed of] two skirts, four strips of un-sewn tulle, and hand-sewn flowers."
An excited Olivia had watched her mother throughout the entire design process and gasped "WOW!!!" in awe of the final results. "We put it on her and she walked straight to the hallway mirror and did a twirl," Ha told As/Is. "Then, she walked into the closet and asked me if she could keep it on forever."
"Possibility ❤️ That’s what seeing yourself reflected in stories gives you. Love this girl," Constance wrote in her caption.
Ha also told the Crazy Rich Asians actress about Liv's upcoming musical theater classes and was delighted to learn that she had also loved and pursued that pastime as a child. "That makes my mom heart so happy that she's living her dream," Ha said. "She's someone Liv has to look up to and it would truly be a reflection of herself."
In case you're wondering if Olivia's seen the film, she and her family caught the historic flick on opening night. As her mother noted, "she'd been asking ever since she put on the dress."
