Jay-Z And Meek Mill Joined Forces To Launch A New Label And Help Promising Artists

"We look at the big picture — this is way beyond signing artists and having hot records."

Last month, Philly rapper Meek Mill announced his recent co-ownership of Lids retailers, claiming 2019 as his "boss year."

Well, the boss year continues! On Tuesday, he and Jay-Z revealed that Meek's label Dream Chasers will be joining forces with Roc Nation, Jay-Z's full service entertainment company.

As President of Dream Chasers, Meek will build a staff to sign and develop "artists with staying power rather than ones who might enjoy a month of success via social media channels," Variety reported.

Meek posted a pic on Instagram to celebrate the good news. "I think it’s time for me to dive into the business," he said at a press conference. "I’m 32 years old, I'm in a nice spot in the music business, and I can help artists."

Jay-Z aka hip hop's first billionaire aka The Blueprint had nothing but props for his new business partner. "Everything he has done leading up to this point shows he is ready to [lead] the next generation," he said.

WELL, CAN'T KNOCK THE HUSTLE!!! CONGRATS, GENTLEMEN.
