The #DMXChallenge Proves That Black Girls Are The Most Versatile People On The Planet

"Me getting potential new hairstyle ideas from the #DMXChallenge."

It's common knowledge that black women have the hairstyle switch-up game on lock. Here are just a handful of looks I rocked in ONE year alone:

And the new, viral hashtag #DMXChallenge is just further proof of our ability to pull off any and every color, length, and texture imaginable.

Thought I’d do the #dmxchallenge 🤗 I really had a different hairstyle for all 46 names, including the 3 different Kims 💁🏽‍♀️

The simple, ingenious concept reaffirms this versatility by way of the second verse of DMX's 1999 hit "What They Really Want."

Serving looks is a hobby! Us black women are so versatile! 😎 vids from 2016-present #dmxchallenge

You know, the verse where he lists off FORTY-SIX different women's names in, like, one minute???

I tried the #dmxchallenge how did I do?

ICYF, "There was Brenda, LaTisha, Linda, Felicia, Dawn, LeShaun, Inez, and Alicia...

you can’t tell me this challenge wasn’t made for me #dmxchallenge

...Teresa, Monica, Sharon, Nicki, Lisa, Veronica, Karen, Vicky. Cookie [he met her in an ice cream parlor], Tonya, Diane, Lori, and Carla. Marina, Selena, Katrina, Sabrina, about three Kims, LaToya, and Tina. Shelley, Bridget, Cathy, Rasheeda, Kelly, Nicole, Angel, Juanita, Stacy, Tracie, Rhona, and Rhonda. Donna, Yolanda, Tawana, and Wanda."

Finding a different hairstyle to pair with almost four dozen names might seem like an impossible task...

    Okay I did the #dmxchallenge 😛😛

    ...but not to us!

    I hope I did this right 😂 #dmxchallenge

Mind you, not everyone made it to 46 hairstyles, but even a dozen's a lot!

    The range is unrivaled!

Shoutout to black women and our hair #dmxchallenge

    The creativity? UNMATCHED!!!

i did the #dmxchallenge bc i love looking at myself 🤣
