I love life and love the people I'm living it with. I'm married to Ed - 33 yrs and happily. We are still best friends and have lots of fun together. We have 4 kids between us - Bret, Leah, Jason and Lee and they are the loves of my life. Jay is here in Florida with us and the rest are in California. We lived in Upstate New York for 31 yrs (OMG!!) and I grew up in Southern California. How'd I ever get to NY????? I have to blame that on Ed since he is from there even though I met him in California. I loved many things about NY - just not the very long and cold winters and lack of sunshine. Other than that it's great!! We lived in the woods in a cute little house with a creek, pond and lots of animals. We had families of deer, turkeys, rabbits, squirrels, chipmonks, raccoons, birds and of course the occasional bears that make their presence known. I fed the birds and the deer and turkeys also join in every day. I go out in the mornings and they are waiting for me and it's just so cool to see that every day. I can look out my windows any time during the day and see these beautiful creatures all peacefully feasting around the feeders. In the fall and spring the bears will occasionally come and remove the feeder from the stand and gently place it on the ground and empty it. They don't destroy it - so far anyway - they just want something to eat! It's so exciting to see the young turkeys and deer in the spring and watch them grow through the year. I love gardening even though our season is a short 3 months. So I tend to end up with a forrest of plants in the house during the winter. I have three dogs, Bear - Chesapeake Bay Retriever and such a
gentle soul, Minnie - long haired miniature Dachsund and so much a Princess and Charley - Shih Tzu - a loving, comical "kid". And we can't forget Bubba - a Quaker Parrot who rules the house and has something to say about everything and not always nice things!! These
are my kids now that mine are grown and I love them dearly. We made a huge move to Florida at the end of July and I love it here. It's so nice being warm all the time and having lots of sunshine and to have a beautiful tropical garden. I'm having so much fun buying and
planting new plants and flowers and actually see them grow fast!! And the beach is just 10 minutes away and I try to spend lots of time there. My biggest dream is to have a home right on the beach and all I would have to do is go out my door and there it is! We're with my sister now and I love being around her as we have spent so much of our life apart. But I do miss my family and friends in NY so very much. I enjoy people and find that having them in my life creates more love. I love to cook and have a great assistant with my husband. My favorites are pizza and wings and mexican food. It's hard to go out and eat because we enjoy our own cooking so much. So we eat in a lot and love cooking for people. We go to movies at least once a week and more if there are several good movies out. I have refound my favorite cousin that I spent many years with in my younger days. Sharon lives in Pensacola and we have reconnected and am so thrilled! Family is so important and she and my sister are the most important ones I have now!! Jay has now gone back to school. He did construction and roofing before and was very good at it. But he didn't want to do that forever and looked into school and is now going to Wyotech in Daytona and taking marine and small engine mechanics. He loves it and is doing great - made the honor roll with a 97.5 average!! Lee is married and living in Murietta Hot Springs, Ca and has a wonderful wife (haven't gotten to meet her yet!) and they are now expecting their first baby!! They both work at a seminary there and are amazing and loving people who are Christ centered in their lives. So excited for them. Bret just moved back to California and is working hard out there. We don't hear from him as much anymore as he is busy working so hard. But he's happy to be back there. Leah is also having another baby - her 4th!! She has 3 adorable boys - maybe she'll make it 4 or maybe it's a girl!! Time will tell! I am so very proud of each of our kids in every way and God has blessed us with amazing kids! Love you all!!
