As you may already know, finding books with great LGBTQ characters can be tough.
And it's even harder when it comes to children's books.
As a gay uncle myself to young nephews who have two moms (we're one big gay family), I've wanted to buy them books that reflect their reality.
I also want them to grow up knowing that being queer is perfectly normal, and I know I'm not the only one who wants that for their kids/nephews/nieces/grandkids/etc.
The array of children's books with LGBTQ characters is growing each year, so I want to know: What are your faves?
Perhaps it's A Plan for Pops, which is a lovely story about a boy's relationship with his two grandfathers.
Or maybe it's Mommy, Mama, and Me, which follows a day in the life of a toddler with two moms.
Perhaps it's When Aidan Became a Brother, which is a picture book that tells the story of Aidan, a trans boy who is about to become a big brother.
Either way, helping children feel represented and accepted from the start is vital, so tell us about your favorite LGBTQ children's book in the comments below! Your submission could be featured in a future BuzzFeed Community post or video!
