As you may already know, finding books with great LGBTQ characters can be tough.
And it's even harder when it comes to children's books.
As a gay uncle myself to young nephews who have two moms (we're one big gay family), I've wanted to buy them books that reflect their reality.
I also want them to grow up knowing that being queer is perfectly normal, and I know I'm not the only one who wants that for their kids/nephews/nieces/grandkids/etc.
The array of children's books with LGBTQ characters is growing each year, so I want to know: What are your faves?
Perhaps it's A Plan for Pops, which is a lovely story about a boy's relationship with his two grandfathers.
Or maybe it's Mommy, Mama, and Me, which follows a day in the life of a toddler with two moms.
Perhaps it's When Aidan Became a Brother, which is a picture book that tells the story of Aidan, a trans boy who is about to become a big brother.
