This Gift Box Full Of Latino-Owned And Sustainable Brands Will Bring You So Much Joy This Year

    2020 is here, as is the coolest new gift box on the block.

    Pero Like (BuzzFeed's Latinx culture division) and Spiritú have joined forces to create a beautiful limited-edition box that was designed by Mexican-American artist Charlotte Gomez and includes products from Latinx-owned and sustainable brands.

    Each box is $49.99 and has over $155 worth of products inside.

    And the best part? A portion of the sales will go to support Freedom for Immigrants, a nonprofit devoted to abolishing immigration detention worldwide.

    Each product in the box was hand-picked by members of the Pero Like team and perfectly reflect each of their personalities.

    First up we have Alexis Garcia, who included a deluxe size Rizos Curls Curl Cream that she swears by.

    Next, Maya Murillo wanted to support one of her favorite local shops and help everyone look stylish in the process with these Sarape Heart stud earrings from Mi Vida.

    Iván Emilio got creative and blessed the box with these tattoo duos from Tattly Temporary.

    Iván: I like expressing my personality through what I wear, and being able to add a few creative temporary tattoos to my style is a fun way to spice it up. I love Tattly because as a small business, they still use their platform to promote other artists through their tattoos.

    Eli Vazquez spiced things up by including some delicious green chile hot sauce by El Yucateco.

    Alexis T: As the head of Pero Like, I have to represent the team in big meetings and events. Nothing makes me feel more confident in these spaces than a dope, bold, red lip. Cue Reina Rebelde’s Brava lipstick — it’s my finishing touch before I step into the room and take a seat at the table.

    Curly Velasquez then did away with all the bad energy by including a sage bundle from The Pink Crow.

    Curly: The sage bundle was created by my friend The Pink Crow, who is a Latina. Just by being around her you feel this energy and she really does heal you and picks up all these different vibes. She invited her family to help build these bundles. I wanted to make these as a true gift to both y'all from me and someone who I really love and believe in.

    And last but not least, Spiritú went the extra mile and put in this Baja shawl from Agavesalt.
