Finally, would you rather:

FRIEND, in the immortal words of RuPaul, if you don't love yourself, how the hell are you gonna love someone else? You are SO hard on yourself, but for what purpose? Does being mean to yourself actually accomplish anything, other than low self-esteem? We're all just winging it, and you don't need to accomplish anything in order to be worthy of self-love. The wild thing is that if you start loving yourself right now, you'll be amazed at all the good things that come AFTER that. I believe in you!

You're way too hard on yourself

You kind of hate people, but you also kind of wish that you were surrounded by people who truly love and accept you for who you are. That's normal and you are NOT alone. We all get in our heads and feel like no one understands us. Having exciting group chats and going on vacays isn't the solution to loneliness. Plenty of people with lots of friends are still lonely. Loneliness is a state of mind. You can be lonely in a crowd or lonely alone. Embrace the opportunities you have to be alone —recharge, write, dream, create — and when you're ready, find like-minded people to open up to.

You don't love people, but you feel lonely

It feels like every day you're just trying to get the basics covered.
Get your schoolwork or job done.
Get through the day.
Get yourself fed.
Pay the bills.
Take a shower.
You kind of feel like life is always going to be this way, and that scares you.
But your dreams are much bigger than that. How are you supposed to move beyond day-to-day survival mode when your to-do list never gets smaller?
You're not alone. The good news is that you don't have to change everything, especially not all at once. I believe in you!

You feel stuck, but you don't do anything about it

You have no tolerance for annoying, rude, or malicious people — basically people in general. You feel like you are smarter, have more common sense, and are more capable than people and you've been known to look for opportunities to boast about yourself.
However, deep down, you're actually quite insecure. You seek external validation (gold stars, please!) to try to prove to yourself and to others that you're awesome. The truth: You're awesome. Full stop. You have absolutely nothing to prove. Comparison is the thief of joy. Be at peace with who you are, right now. You don't need to do or be anything to be worthy.
