If a judge decides in their favor, he is interpreting the Constitution. If they disagree with the decision, the judge is deemed an activist. It’s amazing they can’t see the disconnect in that rationalization.
It doesn’t affect them in the slightest. No one is forcing them to marry a same sex partner. No one is forcing churches to perform the ceremonies. This is about not being able to use ‘freedom’ (religious or not) as a vehicle to rationalize discrimination and deny basic rights to other American citizens. They are defenders of the Constitution. At least the aspects they agree with or that support their world view. I liken them to many so called Christians who cherry pick parts of the Bible they believe or that can be used to justify their bigotry, while ignoring the rest.
