Bank Robber Creates Craigslist, "Inside Man," and Typhoon Lagoon Mashup
A bank robber in Seattle recruited unwitting Craigslist ad responders to help him with his robbery. He asked people to help him with a landscaping project (and be paid handsomely) when in fact they were re-enacting the movie "Inside Man" and acting as body doubles for the real thief, throwing off authorities. The red herring gave him enough time to make his getaway on an innertube in a nearby river.
Steve Fossett: Still Missing
Adventure aficionado Steve Fossett's body wasn't inside his aircraft, which was found this morning in California. So he's either dead, or hoofing it in the wild to avoid being found. Amelia Earheart and Bob Denver couldn't be reached for comment.
