125 milliliters water
125 milliliters sugar
Zest of 1 mandarin
120 milliliters bourbon
45 milliliters lemon juice
30 milliliters mandarin juice
30 milliliters grapefruit juice
45 milliliters ounces simple syrup
Mandarin slices, for garnish
1.Simple syrup: Combine ingredients in a small sauce pot. Whisk to dissolve sugar and bring to a simmer. Simmer for 5-10 minutes, until slightly reduced. Strain and cool.
2.Cocktail: Combine bourbon, lemon juice, mandarin juice, grapefruit juice, simple syrup, and handful of ice in a cocktail shaker. Shake well. Strain into 2 rocks glasses filled with fresh ice. Garnish with a mandarin slice in each.
