This sandwich was hella dope. First of all, it was a chicken 'n' waffles sandwich. I had never had one of those before, and I'm not sure if I will see it anywhere else. All of the flavors were well-executed, but I found the bacon they put on it just ruined the Southern Charm. The waffles were a bit too floppy for a sandwich. I enjoy this combination because I like sweet and salty, but this was all salt and no sweet.

This meal was overall just okay. The chicken-to-waffle ratio was way off. There was a ton of chicken and not enough waffle. I liked how they understood that chicken 'n' waffles are supposed to have the sweet and savory components. I had hot sauce with my chicken and syrup with my waffle, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Overall, though, the chicken was just okay. There was nothing special about this meal. It was hella basic.

This beautiful setup was just enough food. I didn't feel like I was so full that I wanted to die, so probably a good sign. This establishment allowed me to pick two sides / dipping sauces, which I thought added to the experience. With this, I had the sweet and salty component that I was looking for. The brown side is Nutella, which gave it a dessert-like essence. The orange side was some type of spicy sauce. The fried chicken was okay, but not perfect. If you're in the area, I'd recommend you give it a go.

Dame's knows how to do it. There was a huge line to get in, but we heard it was worth it. Spoiler Alert: It was. The chicken was perfectly fried while the waffle had a nice balance of both soft and hard textures. Here, you could choose one topping, and I again chose Nutella. I mean, why wouldn't I? The chicken-to-waffle ratio was fantastic. It was extremely well executed. I have nothing bad to say about this meal. If you find yourself in North Carolina, you need to take a road trip to Dame's.

I can confidently say this is the best chicken 'n' waffles I have ever had. I've gone to Roscoe's House of Chicken 'n' Waffles for many years and have never had a disappointing meal there. The chicken is absolutely perfect. The waffles are flawless. They provide you with the sweet syrup and the hot sauce to counter it. Their servers are friendly and want you to enjoy every bite. There is not one bad thing to say about Roscoe's. You definitely need to eat here before you die.
