    Texas Gov Tries Again To Pass Strict Abortion Bill, After Epic Filibuster Blocked The Last One

    Last week, Texas State Senator Wendy Davis got national attention for her 10-hour filibuster of an extreme abortion bill that would have effectively shut nearly all of Texas' clinics. Intense opposition to the bill, in both of Texas' House and Senate, managed to keep the bill from passing before the end of the special legislative session. But, the fight will continue: Texas Governor Rick Perry called another session, starting July 1, less than a week after the last one ended.
