On Tuesday, Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi said that he would not meet demands of throngs of protestors - the largest in the country's history - for fear that it would bring too much instability to the fledgling democracy. That means that a showdown between Morsi and the country's largely autonomous army, seems inevitable.
