I Ordered A Big Mac From McDonalds And What I Received Broke My Heart!

Let's just say I was left asking, "Where's the beef?".

According to multiple sources the McDonalds Big Mac is the best menu item at McDonalds. It's everyones favorite! Who wouldn't love a double layer of sear-sizzled 100% pure beef mingled with special sauce on a sesame seed bun and topped with melty American cheese, crisp lettuce, minced onions and tangy pickles? It's the perfect combination of everything on the food pyramid.

My story begins in the drive-thru line at my local McDonalds. I was taking a quick lunch before I had to be back at work. I already knew what I wanted - a #1 Big Mac meal with fries and a diet coke. I placed my order, paid, received my meal, and drove off; the same sequence of events like any other trip to McDonalds.

Only this day was a day like no other. As I drove off I joyfully reached in my McDonalds bag to pull out my Big Mac. All of my senses were tingling. As I stopped at a red light I opened the box my Big Mac was in and took a bite. As I started to chew I quickly realized something wasn't right. The joy I felt a few seconds early turned to fear and I had to pull over.

Once pulled over, I frantically pulled apart my Big Mac and was shocked to find my Big Mac had no meat. "Where's the beef?" I asked myself. It wasn't missing one, but both layers of 100% pure beef deliciousness. I immediately felt like McDonalds didn't have my best intentions at heart and plotted to ruin my day. I am a good person, so why would McDonalds give me a Big Mac with no meat? I instantly started to cry because I finally realized what a broken heart felt like.

Distraught, I drove back to McDonalds and confronted the server. I asked her why she would serve me a Big Mac with no meat? Did she have something against me? Was I not worthy enough of receiving a Big Mac with meat? These are the questions that filled my mind. I just needed answers.

The server told me they mixed up orders in the drive-thru. The customer behind me ordered the same exact thing as me, except they ordered a Big Mac with no meat. [side note: what the fk is a Big Mac with no meat? Who does that?] She reassured me that I am worthy of receiving a Big Mac with meat and that it was a mistake on their part. She quickly handed me a Big Mac with meat and like that the dark cloud that was above me turned into a sun. I no longer felt the negative emotions I was feeling and felt happy once again. In the end I learned that McDonalds only wants to see me succeed.
